Nate Morris — Candidate for Mayor of Smiths Falls 2026
For Mayor of Smiths Falls

SMITHS FALLS ELECTION · 2026
Meet Nate
I’m Nate Morris, and I’m running for Mayor of Smiths Falls because I believe our community has enormous potential and deserves leadership that is willing to work hard, think differently, and deliver results.
I’ve called downtown Smiths Falls home for nearly a decade. My wife Emily and I are raising our two boys here, and the future of this community is deeply personal to me.
I’m offering a practical vision for a stronger and more affordable Smiths Falls: lower water bills, safer neighbourhoods, more opportunities for young people, accountable government, and a renewed waterfront that we can once again be proud of.
My Campaign in Under 90 Seconds
A short introduction to my campaign for mayor of Smiths Falls.

Are you on the voters’ list?
Voter Identification Letters
Voter Identification Letters (VILs), which contain the PIN needed to vote, were mailed to everyone on the voters’ list on September 25 and should arrive within the next week. If you don’t receive one, contact Giselle Nayel at Town Hall by calling 613-283-4124, ext. 1125, or emailing gnayel@smithsfalls.ca.
How to Vote
During the October 19–26 voting period, voters with a PIN can vote online or by phone 24 hours a day. If you don’t have a PIN, you can visit Town Hall during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to be added to the voters’ list and issued one.
In-Person Voting Help
Once voting begins, computers and a telephone will be available in the Town Hall lobby, with election officials on site to assist, Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23, and Monday, October 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Documents You’ll Need
To be added to the voters’ list and issued a PIN, you’ll need to provide proof of identity and residence. Accepted documents include an Ontario driver’s licence, Ontario Photo Card or photo health card; a vehicle permit or cancelled personalized cheque; mortgage, lease, insurance, loan, bank, credit card, tax or utility documents; and government benefit, pension or employment records.
Help Make Positive Change Possible
This is going to be a close race, and even one vote could decide the outcome. If you want to see positive change in Smiths Falls, I’m asking for your help to make it possible.
Please first confirm that you have your PIN. Then, if you can, help your friends and family gather the documents they need and get to Town Hall. Please go the extra mile to encourage eligible residents to participate and make their voices heard.
